2. The plug provided for the electric water heater should be a leakage protection plug with a grounding wire. Do not use portable power adapters. The structure, capacity and socket size of the socket should match the leakage protection plug of the electric water heater. The socket should be placed above the water outlet of the electric water heater at a horizontal position to avoid the risk of short circuit caused by water splashing.
3. When using an electric water heater, do not turn off the power through the switch on the socket. Because if the socket power is turned off, the leakage protection plug will not function. In case of faults such as live ground wire, it will be unable to provide protection.
4. It is necessary to check every week whether the "test" button on the leakage protection plug is functioning properly, to ensure that the leakage protection plug is working correctly.
5. To maintain and clean the exterior of the electric water heater, you should first cut off the power supply. Do not spray water on it. Use a soft cloth for cleaning instead.
6. If the power cord is damaged, to avoid danger, it is necessary to use the dedicated power cord provided by the manufacturer and have it replaced by professionals from the maintenance department or a similar unit.
7. The service life of an electric water heater should not exceed 6 years. If it is still in use beyond this period, it will pose safety risks and needs to be replaced promptly.
